My DreamCart Review: Craft Room Organization Made Simple
Hey, crafty friends! Today, I’m so excited to share my thoughts on a product that has literally transformed my craft room: The DreamCart! If you’re struggling with craft room organization or you just need that extra “umph” to make your crafting spot more functional, you’ll want to stick around for this. But first – let’s chat about what the DreamCart is and how it can help you.
(Note – the DreamCart was sent to me by Create Room for me to review and give my honest opinion. Everything shared in this post comes from my own experience with the DreamCart. And yes, I love it!)

What is a DreamCart?
Let me give you my definition – the DreamCart is the ultimate craft room organization. It’s like a crafty BFF that has everything you need to make the most out of the time you have to craft. Let’s face it – most of us would spend most of our days crafting if we could. And, we all like to have every possible craft supply at our fingertips to use when inspiration hits. But, this can be a problem for us crafters. If we don’t know where our supplies are or we can’t get to them easily, we can’t make all the things. It’s that simple.
The other problem we have is available space to craft. I remember the days when I didn’t have a craft room and all of my works-in-progress were piled on my dining room table. And even now, my actual crafting space is really tiny.
Enter the DreamCart. It solves all of those problems! Here’s how:
- The DreamCart is similar to a drop-leaf table but on wheels. When you’re not crafting, you can fold the leaves down and it will fit in a 20″ x 30″ space. That’s right! It’s very compact which makes it perfect for small spaces.
- The DreamCart has shelves underneath the tabletop that house clear bins to hold all of your crafting supplies. There are eight 6″ x 12″ totes and five 12″ x 12″ totes.
- When the leaves of the cart are both open, you have a workspace that’s almost 6 feet long! Wowzers! (The actual measurements are 68.5″ x 29.5″ – which is a LOT of space!)
- You can use the entire space yourself or you can pull up a second chair and you and a friend can craft together. There’s enough space for both of you.
Is the DreamCart easy to assemble?
Joe usually puts things like this together for me, but I wanted to be able to tell you first-hand what it’s like to assemble your DreamCart. Here are the main points:
- Start to finish, it took me about 2 hours to assemble my DreamCart. I took a couple of short breaks in there too. The parts are well labeled and the instruction packet is very detailed.
- The tools I used for assembly included a phillips head screwdriver and a battery-operated power drill with a phillips head bit.
- I assembled the entire cart by myself. I only needed help to flip it over onto the casters once I had the cart built.
- If you have trouble being on your knees or working on the floor, get some help from someone who can.
So, know that you have an idea of what the DreamCart is, I want to share my personal experience with this amazing piece of crafting goodness.
Simple Organization for Silhouette Crafting Supplies
First up, let me tell you how this cart saved my Silhouette life. Before, all my Silhouette vinyl, HTV, and tools were stashed in a spot that made them difficult to access. I didn’t have space near my crafting table for those supplies. But guess what? The DreamCart has enough storage space to organize all of my Silhouette supplies within arms reach! Now, when I’m in the mood to jazz up some wood blanks or make custom labels, my Silhouette essentials are close by. Game. Changer.
My Go-To Embellishments Are Always at My Fingertips
Don’t even get me started on my favorite crafting embellishments! From cute buttons to fancy twine, they used to be scattered around in a way that made them almost forgotten. But now, thanks to the DreamCart, they have a designated space that’s super accessible. Imagine the time saved not having to rummage around for that perfect piece to finish your project. Right?
Small Space, Big Impact
Now, let’s talk real estate. My crafting area isn’t exactly sprawling. I’ve got laser cutting wood stations and order packing taking up most of the room. But this cart? Oh, it fits like a dream. It’s made my limited crafting space infinitely more usable and efficient.
A Happy Space Makes for a Happy Crafter
You wouldn’t believe how much happier I am in my crafting space now. It feels organized, functional, and—most importantly—no longer cumbersome! It’s like getting rid of that clunky old furniture you’ve had since college and finally getting that sleek, modern setup you’ve always wanted. Bliss!
And, because my supplies are organized and within reach, I’m already using them more often. There’s something so motivating about not having to pause and search for what you need in the middle of a creative burst or a Facebook Live. And let’s be honest, the easier it is to grab what you need, the more crafting you get to do!
Do I need a craft room to have a DreamCart?
Nope! That’s what I love most. For those of you who don’t have the luxury of a designated craft room, the DreamCart is your new best friend. Seriously. This cart does double duty as a storage unit and a craft table. So, it’s perfect for small spaces or homes that lack an “official” craft room.
How much does a DreamCart Cost?
Good question, my friend! As of the writing of this post, the DreamCart is $599 plus shipping. (You get $50 off with code AMY50 here!) After being able to use my DreamCart, I can say that it’s worth twice that much in terms of how convenient it is and how much space it saves. You get a table and a mobile craft room all in one.
Pros and Cons of the DreamCart
If you read everything to this point, you can tell that I’m smitten with my DreamCart. It’s made me love my craft space again. I’m going to highlight the pros & cons below as I see them:
Pros:
- it holds a lot of craft supplies and takes up very little space
- the clear bins make it so easy to see what’s in the drawers
- the narrow bins come with dividers and each one can be divided into three spaces
- the cart has casters that roll smoothly on my rug
- the casters have a locking function so that the cart will stay put when you’re working
- the table leaves open up to almost 5.7 feet of crafting space
- when the leaves are folded down, the DreamCart fits in a 20″ x 30″ space
Cons:
- I don’t have a ‘true’ negative about this piece. It’s amazing in all ways. If you don’t like white furniture, it could be a negative.
So there you have it, friends! If you’re on the fence about the DreamCart, I can tell you that it will create more work space, make your craft supplies easy to find, and help you spend more time doing what you love – crafting!
