Hi, I’m Amy!

Do you ever go to the craft store and buy lots of supplies but never finish the project? Or do you spend time pinning projects that you never have time to make? Or do you wish you could make something beautiful but think you just don’t have a creative bone in your body?

I’m here to help! 

I love teaching other women learn to craft beautiful items mostly with a Silhouette or Glowforge. The methods used are so similar. 

I believe that whether or not you think you’re crafty or creative, you can make beautiful things. I’m going to help you do it – it’s easier than you think.

I’ve always been a maker at heart. I’ve always wanted to create – whether it was out of a make-and-do book or sitting in my dad’s workshop. He was a hobbyist woodworker and could refinish anything. I learned everything I know about woodworking from my dad – whose name was Art. That’s where the ‘art’ comes from in my business name. 

I’m here to share videos & tutorials that show you step-by-step how to make something you can not only be proud of but can gift, decorate with or hang on your front door. 

So you can get to know me a little better, here are 10 quirky things about me….

  1. I was born in Ohio, moved to Texas after graduate school and lived there for 20 years, and then moved back to Ohio in 2021 to be with family.
  2. My husband and I are best friends and do just about everything together.
  3. I usually have a cup of coffee nearby.
  4. I love to go camping with my family. We bought a travel trailer during the pandemic. It’s my home away from home.
  5. My house is only quiet when everyone is sleeping.
  6. If you stop by unannounced, my house will be a hot mess. If you stop by announced it might just be that way too.
  7. I love to bake but could skip cooking meals all together.
  8. There is nothing more important to me than my three boys and my husband.  
  9. I’m very insecure but I make myself do hard things anyway.
  10. I’m that person who goes to the self-checkout with an overflowing cart just to avoid talking to anyone.
