How to Craft the Hey Boo Hanging Tag
We’re so excited to share this new DIY ghost-themed Halloween hanging tag with you – and this one is a little different than the wood cutouts we’ve shared in the past.
The Hey Boo hanging tag has a ‘pop out’ ghost layer that makes it super simple to take it out of the packaging and paint it – and we know how much you love it when we make your crafting life easier.
What’s a pop out, you ask? It’s where the wood pieces are still attached by a tiny little sliver of wood and all you have to do is gently wiggle the wood pieces until they come out. Easy peasy!
You can watch this quick video that shows you exactly how to pop the ghosts out of the larger tag.
Supplies & Paint Colors
You can find this Hey Boo Halloween tag in my shop. It’s a seasonal item, so keep that in mind.
I thought it would also be fun to share the paint colors I’d use for this DIY Halloween craft – don’t worry if you can’t find the exact colors. You can use something similar.
- Ivory Waverly Chalk Paint
- Pumpkin Orange Waverly Chalk Paint
- Licorice Acrylic Paint by FolkArt
- DecorWax in Antique for distressing your work
- DuraClear in Matte or UltraMatte to seal your piece
I can’t wait to see your Hey Boo tags when they’re done. Share them on social media and tag me – I love seeing your work!
xoxo,
Amy
